Light and textile industry
Light and textile industry is one of the support industries in
Zhejiang Province and the developed light and textile industry is
one of the industrial features of this province, whose total output
and export volume both rank the first places in China .
Presently, its production field and export scale are constantly
expanded to form a complete system meeting the demands of both home
and abroad markets and meanwhile many strong enterprises and famous
brand products such as Wahaha, Nice, Youngor, Shanshan, Feiyue,
Talia, and Zhonghua Beer were developed and cultured. Export of

Building materials industry is one of the support industries of
Zhejiang province and presently it involves in building materials
and their products, non-metallic minerals and their deep processing
and inorganic non-metallic materials.
During its development of building materials industry in Zhejiang
Province , distinguishing features are formed. First, the industry
is regionally divided. On basis of the conditions of resources and
traffic the cement base is formed in North-, Middle- and West-Zhejiang,
the glass manufacture base in Hangzhou and Shaoxin, the non-metallic
minerals base in South-Zhejiang,and new building materials development
zones in the central cities along Shanghai-Hangzhou-Ningbo (Hu-Hang-Yong)
Expressway.
Secondly, the economic structure is diversified and the state-run,
collective, rural, and private enterprises all engage in building
materials.
Thirdly, the varieties are much complete and have respective characteristics.
The traditional building materials mainly include cement, glass,
and solid clay brick and the new building materials there also get
great development. The artificial crystal of Jiaojiang, FRP products
of Wenzhou and Shangyu, and reinforcement glass fiber of Tongxiang
all occupy an important position in the similar trade. The resource
of Shengzhou diatomite and Lin'an bentonite and the development
level of their products all keep the domestic leading level.
Fourthly, Zhejiang is rich in resources of non-metallic minerals
and has good basic conditions. The processing technology of non-metallic
minerals is fast developed and the application fields are constantly
expanded.
